Dear backers and customers,
We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.
As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.
We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.
You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.
That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.
The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this project. We are doing everything we can to deliver the Gamefold you have been waiting for.
More updates coming soon.

I understand this choice and support it. However, this begs the question, what happens if/when in several months or a year this situation hasn’t changed? The tables can’t be held forever. I would also imagine Yarro doesn’t have the ability to refund all US backers. This administration is only 4 months in. Things are expected to get worse not better.
I need more info about the expedition in Italy… What about the traveling tables?
Personally, I am tired of waiting and would have purchased from someone else. Ever have a friend that seems to cancel plans all the time and each excuse is legit and you want to be understanding. However after it happens for the 90th time you get frustrated and feel it’s just an excuse after excuse due to poor planning, so you just stop making plans with them. That is how I view you with this project. It was the same with the coin-dice project. Reason after reason to delay under “we are making it better for you”. How about doing more preplanning ahead of time to mitigate the potential problems. Better yet, fully designing and developing the project before you start the kickstarter. No choice now but have to wait due to the tariffs and it is totally legit and understandable, but it is just another excuse on the long list of excuses. Now, I fully expect to be the last person to receive the item since I am unhappy and complaining. Reach out to me if you want to discuss this more, but if it’s the same bs you gave me a few months ago, don’t waste the time or effort. I am sure you will have an excuse for that also. Send the product than I am done with your company and future kickstarter projects.
So what kind of delays is your company looking at for delivery?
Yeah, I live in Canada (so there may be additional tariffs) and I am more than willing to wait for the madness to end. I also appreciate you guys waiting until the production issues were dealt with. I’d rather wait than have to send a defective product back.
