We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.
As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.
We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.
You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.
That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.
The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.

How will this impact buyers in Canada? I bought mine, a brown with topper and shelves, through the website in early Jan, 2025. Will mine be shipped and dispatched in Canada, or will my order be impacted by this insanity, too?
Probably not the first to mention this, but would it be possible to work with regional suppliers? F.E. setting up a warehouse somewhere in Europe to circumvent the trading tarifs, directly deliver them from China to the localized warehouse, and ship the european orders from there? Would also reduce shipping costs for all regions :D
You must be as frustrated as everybacker here. Thank you for doing your best in this situation, making sure we get our gamefold at some point and not just pulling the plug as you could have done. I am thankful for that. Delays were to be expected and tariffs couldn’t have been foreseen. (Sorry, English second language here). Hope you find ways to let go all that negative energy here (that backers are still allowed to have and speak out). Ha e a nice week-end!
We ordered this a while ago. We kept getting told. first this date, then pushed to the right, pushed to the right. I understand about the tariffs but at this point offer people refunds. I personally love the look of the table and all but this is ridiculous. I would like a refund of my shipping costs and table price. My husband has been emailing and your team have not been able to provide any answers then you also said we just ordered in 2025 when we ordered well over a year ago. Your team needs to get your stuff together.
Strength through this Yarros studios, it’s tough but you can do it.
To all those complaining it took too long, saying insane things like R&D should have been done or whatever, you backed a KICKSTARTER PROJECT.
You knew what you got into and if you did not, you should have read the fine print. It sometimes has delays, setbacks and things like that.
Because it’s a project thought up by a small team that couldn’t have done it otherwise.
Even worse, if you didn’t vote at all or voted for those tariffs, you made your bed and want to complain about it.
