Gamefold & Tariffs

Gamefold & Tariffs

Dear backers and customers,

We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.

As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.

We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.

You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.

That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.

The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this project. We are doing everything we can to deliver the Gamefold you have been waiting for.

More updates coming soon.

I ordered last fall, so I haven’t been waiting as long as some people, but I haven’t already seen it delayed from Spring to Summer, and now indefinitely until this situation is taken care of. That said, though I am obviously frustrated by the delays, I completely understand the reasons for the delays. However, with how many delays, however justified and understandable, I think you need to start giving much more regular update on what’s happening with the current situation. We’re all anxious to get our tables, and getting more frequent updates on the situation should help to soothe our nerves and calm those wanting a refund etc.

Im just going to cancel my order with my credit card if you dont clear this up and answer my questions via email since I only purchased 2 days ago(BECAUSE OF THE FREE SHIPPING). I have my table from the kickstarter. Thought it would be nice to have 2 together but I’m not paying tariff’s or waiting years to get my table because of orange monster. I stopped backing Kickstarters a while ago to avoid these tariff’s.

well, I usually feel for companies in these circumstances. I feel like the delays on this table been so long and that if things would’ve been more on time, we wouldn’t be dealing with this right now. I was expecting this table along time ago and I feel I’ve been patient and now I feel like I am out my money

Clarification, if we received notification that our order is on the water, will they be released when they arrive in the US or are you holding orders only for those not yet shipped and/or made in china. Regards,

I understand this choice and support it. However, this begs the question, what happens if/when in several months or a year this situation hasn’t changed? The tables can’t be held forever. I would also imagine Yarro doesn’t have the ability to refund all US backers. This administration is only 4 months in. Things are expected to get worse not better.
