Dear backers and customers,
We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.
As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.
We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.
You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.
That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.
The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this project. We are doing everything we can to deliver the Gamefold you have been waiting for.
More updates coming soon.

And the hammer drops. I feel at this point any US backer believes that we will not be getting our tables. I think the least you can do at this point is 1. Halt all US preorders. 2. Perform a complete audit on the development timeline and outline all the instances that delayed it to the point of production and relay that to the backers. 3. Open the possibility of changing individual shipping destinations to somewhere not affected by a tariff.
Will we know if our table is on the container or will we be contacted once it’s shipped from the US facility?
Are all of those United States orders for backers? Or are some of them preorders from the website? In a previous blog post, you guys had said that preorders would start being fulfilled between april and june I believe. I just want to know if I can expect my table in the next few weeks, or expect it to be a couple more months?
Do you foresee the tariffs imposing shipping delays much further? If so, will an updated timeline be posted?
Thank you for all that you’re doing in the production of these tables. I’ve never been so excited for a kickstarter product that I check my email religiously waiting for updates.
Hi, Canadian here, any updates for non US North Americans?
