Dear backers and customers,

We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.

As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.

We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.

You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.

That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.

The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this project. We are doing everything we can to deliver the Gamefold you have been waiting for.

I hope everything works out. I was super exited to hear that my table was on a shipping container. But sad to hear that it’s going to be held until further notice. I hope you guys can figure something out soon! Exited for these tables.

For international orders, is there maybe a way of directly shipping to the customer from the source, to circumvent the issue? What a shame that this is happening after all your caution.

You’re facing an unprecedented situation, but I’d appreciate a bit more clarity. It sounds like you’re saying you are indefinitely pausing the shipment of any orders that haven’t left China yet, pending a change in the international situation (unlikely to happen any time soon) or you guys coming up with another solution (hard to imagine what that would even be). Is that correct? Did the timetable for anyone whose table is not already on a boat just completely freeze?

Thanks for the update. It may not be the tracking number I was hoping for but it is an explanation as to why I haven’t seen it yet like many others.
