We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.
As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.
We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.
You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.
That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.
The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.

Original Kickstarter Backer here. I’ve been very patient and understanding and said nothing until now. I’m sure the tariffs are frustrating, but this wouldn’t be a problem if you guys weren’t excruciatingly slow at development. It’s clear the tables weren’t fully designed when you took our money, and spent forever “tweaking” them. The campaign should’ve started after the designed was ironed out, instead of taking our money and holding it for 2 years or more. If the process wasn’t so absurdly slow, this wouldn’t be a problem. This is idiotic.
@Taylor – We don’t want them to be held for too long. This is the best option for now as we explore additional solutions. As mentioned, we’ll keep you updated on our progress or if anything changes.
So is your plan to not ship to the US until the tariffs are lifted? What if they aren’t do you have a plan for that? Is the plan to discontinue shipping to the US in general?
Thank you for the update. Please keep them coming. I understand some people’s frustration with the delays but I also know that Yarro Studies has delievered on each kickstarter that I have supported. Delays are not uncommon with kickstarters and if you want to blame anyone for the current shipping issues I believe there is an orange man you can lay that on. Hoping that the US issues won’t affect deliveries to Canada.
