First things first. We are full steam ahead.
2000 tables have now left the factory and are in the process of fulfillment. That is reaching 30% of the fulfillment of Kickstarter backers.
Production has now shifted to brown tables, so we’ll have a healthy mix available for international backers. We expect to finish 400 brown tables by next week. Please note that it will take a few more weeks for the tables to arrive at the port and be delivered to your doorstep.
Regarding US tariffs:
• A full container has already landed in LA and is currently being processed by customs. We’re paying those tariffs out of pocket.
• Another container is scheduled to arrive in LA in about 10 days.
• International orders are not affected by US tariffs.
We are working on getting tracking numbers for these as soon as they leave the port. Please monitor your emails.
The factory remains active and is on track to produce 400 tables per week, completing all Kickstarter orders in about 6 weeks and pre-orders in another 4 weeks.

I think, by reading your update along with the comments that there are still many unanswered questions. I think that there are those of us who wouldn’t find a problem pitching in to assist with receiving our product. I’m sure that per table is not that bad, rather the cumulative cost is what is unexpected for you.
I too would like to see a list of the 2k tables or at least find out what position that I am in personally to have a better feel for an ETA.

Please provide estimated timelines, including an indefinite delay category, by order number ranges, US vs non-US, and colors, or something that customers can recognize as useful in anticipating receipt. You almost certainly have a planned delivery demand schedule that uses customer order numbers, each with a unique order ID, that is internally reconciled back to production schedules to validate the delivery plan is achievable. I do not understand why you just do not share what you have?
I would empathize more with your position if you were transparent in your forecasts. Your updates only serve to relay historical progress or decision-making without actually addressing the key element of a product delivery update (i.e what is a reasonable delivery estimate for our orders).
I am not saying youve made any wrong decisions on delays to improve quality or avoid tariffs, but your messages to your customers are not actually helpful in meeting the objective of communicating a revised and realistic expectation.
Thanks for the updates. I’ll be happen when the table finally arrives. Hopefully you are able to move production to other areas and not have all your eggs in one basket for future projects. Maybe if Americans can eliminate Unions, and drop wages down to a more reasonable $5/hr then we wouldn’t need Tariffs to encourage companies to actually build factories in the USA.
But you are still holding off on any new shipments, and only eating the tariff on the containers that were at sea when the tariffs hit, right?
I feel like this is phrased in a way that gives folks hopes that are just going to get dashed.
When is the estimated date for completion for production the pre-order tables? And what is estimated shipping time to people in the US from there, assuming there is a work around or lifting of the tariffs by then?
