from 459 reviewsI love mine so much I got 2 more sets for other members of my dnd campaign

Great product and fast shipping

The quality of these are outstanding. I often just play with one while watching shows.

Well, at least a very fun-oriented dragon's, that is.
Just imagine a mountain of all of these durable and handsome pieces!

I can honestly say, these are the finest dice on the face of earth. They are satisfying to hold, beautiful to look upon, and detailed beyond my expectations.

Allow me to start off saying I love the design of each coin. They are beautiful. However, my one suggestion would be an alteration of the D4 and D6 slot locations.
For the D4 I would use a square coin similar to the D8 with numbers 1-4 mirrored on both sides. Another option would be a circular coin with 4 slots located at 4 points and again mirrored on both sides.
For the D6 I would say having three slots arranged as a triangle around the edge of the circular coin would be much better than having them all located on one half.

I’ve bought many sets of dice over the years at all sorts of price points and styles, but I’ve never had a set that was as unique and well made as this one. I feel like I’ve reached the peak of my dice collection with this crowning piece. The dice flip great, the materials feel very high quality, and they’re incredibly fun to use. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Flipdie Dice Coin - The First Dice You Flip Like a Coin

What can I say the FlipDice Coins are extremely well designed and manufactured. The coins have a nice feel to them and flip and roll numbers easily and well without concern for certain numbers being more common then others. I have both the Dragon set and the Seven Realms set and I like both with the Seven Realms being in multiple metal tones and the Dragon set being a bronze tone, with the exception of the d20 being dark green. That last being rather odd: I would have expected all the coins to be the bronze color. Don't get me wrong, the dark hunter green is nice, just a but unexpected.
The "rolling" mats are well one and should protect the table top when flipping the coins if any case is taken, with nicely done artwork on the "rolling" surface.
The coins themselves come in a thermoformed tray ma from black-flocked plastic with a crystal clear plastic cover. The tray holds the coins above the bottom of the box allowing a space below to contain the "rolling" mat and a few other small items (if desired).
The box has a fold-down lid with magnetic catch so that it remains closed and this then has a printed slip cover which completes the packaging. One minor quibble here: the slip cover is exactly the same length as the box and square-cut at both ends making pushing the box out tricky. A pair of finger cutouts on at least one of the end of the slip cover would make removal a lot easier.
But, really, as the coins get used more and more the boxes and trays are going to go the way of the Great Auk and the issue will resolve itself.
Well well done all the way around.

I really wish I could say perfect, but at 99.9999% I guess that is close enough. The chest overall is incredibly well done with a good heavy feel without being incredibly heavy. The appearance is exactly what one would expect from an ancient treasure chest discovered in some long lost castle holding lost secrets and wealth. The bands and the lion's head are of an appropriate color to suggest age and add to the overall appearance. The pull ring on the lid is study and promise many years of usefulness as to the side handles which make carrying the chest more convenient.
The quality of the assembly is quite good and the chest will hold two sets of FlipDice Coins in their complete packaging with one minor issue (more later on this) while leaving space for more "treasure" either above or below the FlipDice Coins.
The chest comes complete with a lock with two (2) keys(a really nice extra) which serves to ensure that the treasures within are protected. The lock opens easily and the shackle is sized to make its use easy. One minor quibble here is that the locking mechanism is quite stiff and re-closing the lock is a bit difficult and I and concerned that the shackle might bend or break. Now granted, I have the dexterity of a dead giraffe on a good day, so my experience may be unique in that regard.
The fit of the FlipDice Coins in their complete packaging is a slightly larger concern: as the photos show, it is necessary to either flip on or both of the sets onto their side in order to fit within the chest. This may well be a tolerance stacking issue but it is a minor annoyance as getting the slipcases out is a bit tricky if only one of the two is rotated. I'll gladly live with it and expect that as time goes on I will be leaving the Coins out of their slip cases which will completely eliminate the issue. And, frankly, won't have a choice as I intend to buy more sets 😉.
So, aside from two very minor quibbles, I'm incredibly pleased with the chest (and the FlipDice Coins)
But, really, those two quibbles

I love these so much! They are so different from the norm. Everyone in my DnD group loves them.

I purchased my chest during the KickStarter and am very happy with it! It feels quite sturdy, the heads are metal, the straps are dense foam, and the lock locks (you're given 2 keys with it in case you lose one). It's also quite large which is very nice. You can fit 2 FlipDice boxes in it if you remove the show tray, or store 1 box below the tray and pile stuff on top for transport. For any Wyrmwood & ElderWood Academy fans here, I'm able to store a Master Vault & a Mini Spellbook in the chest on top of the show tray and box of dice and still close & lock it. Dwarf mini for scale. Can't wait to fill this up with more dice :D
I do think that it would be useful to be able to purchase the flat show tray separately so that you can store multiple sets of dice in the chest neatly, safely, and compactly, as I will 100% be purchasing the pirate set and heavily considering future sets to fill my new treasure chest!

First of all, these coins look incredible. I was not anticipating the amount of depth and detail they managed to put into the artwork on these coins. The d12, d8, and d4 of the Seven Realms set in particular look phenomenal. I do think the art on the "20" side of the d20 is a bit hard to make sense of, but that's a minor gripe.
The build quality is impeccable. The coins are hefty and I have zero concerns about ever damaging them. You can probably fastball these into a wall and they'd be fine.
The price is more than reasonable for the quality. $120 is about as much as a premium set of dice and you get something MUCH more interesting and unique than any dice set.
The presentation and unboxing experience is also very pleasant and they even include a mat!
I'm seriously considering buying the other set because I'm so impressed.
Easily recommendable to anyone even remotely interested. Would also make a fantastic gift for anyone into tabletop games.

I really like the metallic feel of the coins and the way they make them fair and balanced. the package design of the box deserves to be on the white houses walls. and the coin design is the best of them all. i would say it is worth the hundred dollars!!
