Gamefold & Tariffs

Gamefold & Tariffs

Dear backers and customers,

We want to take a moment to update you on the current tariff situation and how it is affecting the Gamefold project.

As many of you may know, the United States recently imposed tariffs of up to 145% on goods imported from China. This has more than doubled the original production cost of each table. The impact has been significant across many industries, and like others, we have been directly affected.

We completely understand your concerns and frustrations, and we want you to know that we hear you.

You might be wondering, “What if you had shipped sooner?” It is a fair question. The honest answer is that we chose to address some early design flaws. Not because we were being overly picky, but because we explored several design solutions that required careful testing and verification before moving forward. While this did delay shipping, we strongly believe it was the right decision to ensure quality.

That said, production has not stopped.
We currently have two containers full of Gamefold tables arriving in the US in the next two weeks, with more on the way. International orders are already shipping out, and we are continuing to produce and hold United States orders as we monitor the evolving tariff situation and wait for more stable conditions.

The current tariff situation is frustrating and unpredictable, but we are exploring every possible solution. This includes alternate sourcing, long-term production strategies, and cost management to keep moving forward without compromising the experience you backed.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this project. We are doing everything we can to deliver the Gamefold you have been waiting for.

More updates coming soon.

Just sent an email to the support line for a refund. I’m not sitting through another delay. I would at this point get a refund and look elsewhere. A full year delay into another delay that will most likely take several years to deliver. No thanks. Tariffs were also delayed so not sure why you would hold orders instead of expedite them?

How are you running a sale with free shipping on your website but you are holding my order up cause of the Tariffs? That makes no sense. The orders are also showing delivery for next month with several containers being delivered this month. So are you just holding the tables till prices drop? If so then again, why are you running a sale on your site with free shipping?

Man this tariff situation sucks.

If the tariffs ever fall below 50%, I’d be willing to pay for mine… but when it’s up over 100% like now, I just couldn’t afford that.

It’s been a LONG wait on this. Mine was supposed to be used for some awesome LEGO builds and gaming with my youngsters. Guess who is growing out of their gaming and LEGO phase…..my youngsters!

I ordered the table in October of 2023. Ordered more accessories in May of 2024. I understand the world is ever changing and such but I really feel that there needs to be a customer service aspect involved here.

Maybe options of: 1) If your table has not shipped you can get a full refund for any money spent and all is good. Or: 2) Wait it out and maybe there is an extra something that you can entice people with for staying strong and waiting a bit longer to get a product that is becoming a bit overdue.

And for the tables that people back out of, sell them on your site as at whatever it cost you after all is said and done.

No decision is the WORST decision. Please consider addressing this. ASAP.

For all those who are upset and angry about the tariff costs and resulting delays, it doesn’t do any good to get angry with the Yarro team. If you want to vent your frustration, send it in a direction that has a chance of making a difference. Write to your Senator and your member in the House of Representatives. It’s easy enough to google the contact info. Tell them why you’re angry, and let them know that they will be feeling your wrath in 2026 if Congress doesn’t step up and do its job.
